Richard Mille Launches A New Material In A New Watch

A new model by Richard Mille is always exciting but gets even more impressive when the brand makes it in entirely new material. Grey Cermet, as it is called, is as light as titanium and yet almost as hard as a diamond. It took Richard Mille, working closely together with the IMI Group, years to develop this material. It consists of a metallic zirconium matrix with ceramic inserted in it. As these are very different elements, combining them in a single material was particularly challenging. Especially since the use of nickel and cobalt, often used to combine these materials in a homogeneous matter, was not an option as they wanted to conform themselves to the REACH Standards. This ensures safety in production and the use of chemicals in the European industry.

The Breguet Boutiques Get Two New And Exclusive Models

Over the years, this has proven to be a worthwhile strategy for them, as in search of something special, many made the pilgrimage to obtain a watch that cannot be found elsewhere. Breguet just added two new boutique editions that make it indeed very tempting to visit one of their boutiques, as they offer all the distinct features of the brand in a unique package.

Cartier Brings Together A Unique Community Of Celebrities For Launch Of The Pasha

Ever since its creation in 1985 has the Pasha de Cartier been the watch of people who enjoy style with a unique twist. While in essence, it is just a round watch, it was famed watch designer Gerald Genta who made it more, by adding the typical Vendome-lugs and canteen crown. It made the Pasha de Cartier the watch to have in the 1980s, a success which Cartier perpetuated well into the new millennium. What made the Pasha even more special is that it is a watch that was embraced by a very diverse and international clientele. For the launch of the new generation of the Pasha, Cartier is joined by a very talented group of artists who have each made their mark in different ways. Rami Malek, Troye Sivan, Willow Smith, Maisie Williams, and Jackson Wang are all at the top of their field, where they stand out by their professionalism but also by not conform or restrain their creativity by traditional standards, very much like the Pasha.

A Record-Breaking Weekend At The Geneva Watch Auctions

This weekend in Geneva, the traditional watch auctions took place. Things were different than before, as many Covid-19 precautions were still in place. Also, a lot of collectsors and dealers could not travel to the auctions themselves due to various travel restrictions. This also meant that they could not examine the watches themselves before the sale, although various digital initiatives tried to give them as much information as possible. That made it that the auctions could definitely be seen as a test on how the outbreak of Covid-19 would impact the vintage watch market.

To achieve this, the level of craftsmanship needs to be at an extremely high standard, otherwise, they run the risk of merely becoming something whimsical. With the new Petit Heure Minute 'Tiger,' which is available in two varieties, the brands' Ateliers d'Art has absolutely surpassed itself.

Patek Philippe Makes Steel The New Deal For Calatrava

Already decades ago has this collectsion become a benchmark for the industry. While Patek Philippe made quite a name for itself with first the stainless steel Nautilus, and later on the Aquanaut, was this material only used sporadically to case Calatrava's.
